Want to get shallow? Flats Cat boats are the answer. Flats Cat boats are known for their extreme shallow capabilities far surpassing most shallow running boats on the market. With only drafting inches while running, resting or on plane, these boats are designed to get you in and out of the toughest, shallowest areas that other boats can’t get to.

How do Flats Cats run so shallow?

Flats Cat hulls are designed with performance in mind. The Patented reverse angle hull forces and traps water in the inside hull wall. When the water passes under the transom, a jet effect is formed compacting the water even more and aiding in forward motion and lift. As air passes under the bow and approaches the inside walls of the cat hulls, the water under the boat is compressed. At speeds exceeding 20mph, the flats cat has 1/2″ draft, meaning the boat runs on top of the water, not pushing through it. When a Flats Cat passes over the water, air is injected into the bow entrance, raising the boat up and allowing the boat to ride on top of the water.
